Picocyanobacterial Contribution to the Total Primary Production in the Northwestern Pacific Ocean

چکیده

Picocyanobacteria (Prochlorococcus and Synechococcus) play an important role in primary production biogeochemical cycles the subtropical tropical Pacific Ocean, but little biological information on them is currently available North Ocean (NPO). The present study aimed to determine picocyanobacterial contributions total regions NPO using a combination of dual stable isotope method metabolic inhibitor. In terms cell abundance, Prochlorococcus were mostly dominant (95.7 ± 1.4%) region (hereafter, TP), whereas Synechococcus accounted for 50.8%–93.5% temperate SP). Regionally, averages 11.66 mg C m−2·h−1 45.2% (±4.8%) TP 22.83 70.2% SP, respectively. comparison carbon, average nitrogen uptake rates 10.11 N 90.2% (±5.3%) 4.12 63.5%, These results indicate that picocyanobacteria responsible large portion region, with higher contribution rate than carbon. A long-term monitoring variability should be implemented under global warming scenario increasing ecological roles picocyanobacteria.

contribution of setting to the study of characters and the main idea in e. brontes: wuthering heights and t. hardys: return of the native.

this thesis aims to adduce an unmitigated and comprehensive explication concerning the relationship of three significant elements of fiction: setting, chracter and theme. my research is basically placed on two outstanding novels of the 19th century: emily brontes wuthering heights and thomas hardys return of the native. my endeavour lies in studying the correlation among the three above-mention...

Contribution of Archaea to total prokaryotic production in the deep Atlantic Ocean.

Fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) in combination with polynucleotide probes revealed that the two major groups of planktonic Archaea (Crenarchaeota and Euryarchaeota) exhibit a different distribution pattern in the water column of the Pacific subtropical gyre and in the Antarctic Circumpolar Current system. While Euryarchaeota were found to be more dominant in nearsurface waters, Crenar...

Northwestern Pacific typhoon intensity controlled by changes in ocean temperatures

Dominant climatic factors controlling the lifetime peak intensity of typhoons are determined from six decades of Pacific typhoon data. We find that upper ocean temperatures in the low-latitude northwestern Pacific (LLNWP) and sea surface temperatures in the central equatorial Pacific control the seasonal average lifetime peak intensity by setting the rate and duration of typhoon intensification...
